Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, flexible to the needs of the program. Contact time in all program sites and Article 16 Clinics is required. 12-month position.
Qualifications: Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology. Graduation from an accredited program. Certification to practice in New York State as evidenced by current licensure and by the New York State Education Department. One year experience working with developmentally disabled children and/or adults, providing direct services. 1-2 years supervisory experience. Work may require lifting, pushing, or pulling, in excess of 30 pounds. A valid and acceptable drivers license is necessary.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Authorized to work in the United States and pass all background clearances.
Summary/Objective: Provide clinical oversight and administrative leadership to all clinical staff assigned to working with children and adults in Jefferson and St. Lawrence County. Ensure appropriate justification and delivery of all clinical services provided to children and adults supported at The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence. Adhere to professional, ethical and legal standards of practice as well as all agency specific policies and procedures. Must maintain caseload, which will include both adult and children. Will be required to complete evaluations (Early Intervention and Preschool) and treatments for adults (Article 16 Clinic) and children.

Maintain working knowledge of all procedures and regulations related to services for children and adults. This could include but is not limited to OPWDD, SED, DOH, OCFS, Medicaid, and/or other private insurance, and Article 16 Clinic.- Maintain open lines of communication with Horizons Clinic and Mountain Lake Services.
- Monitor timely completion of documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Establish collaborative and effective working relationships with service providers inside and outside of The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence.
- Develop and maintain effective clinic based model with emphasis on an efficient and progressive model.
- Ensure treatments being provided are clinically based and meet these standards to support billing in all departments.
- Maintain current Safe Patient Handling practices and procedures for all staff to adhere to at The Arc Jefferson- St. Lawrence.
Complete all documentation and billing timely and accurately for all people on assigned caseload. Additionally, ensure completion of all documentation and billing for staff assigned to direct supervision.- Meet regularly with all staff assigned to direct supervision.
- Attend support meetings as requested.
- Work in conjunction with Pre-school administration to ensure information Early Intervention officials and CPSE is disseminated accordingly.
- Develop policies and procedures for the Article 16 clinic and review accordingly for any updates to ensure compliance.
- Maximize utilization of all clinical staff, ensuring efficiency of daily schedules, providing monthly reports of services provided to the Director.
- Attend staff meetings as requested to provide direction or training as it relates to persons supported.
- Will act at all times to protect persons receiving services and will cooperate with the investigative process as necessary.
- Maintain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of the NYEIS system, Therap, Accumedic, IEP Direct, Clear Track, Precision Care, iCentral and Paycom
- Review and approve all billing statements developed by the Accounting Department prior to submission for payment.
- Review and submit monthly Early Intervention billing from iCentral to NYEIS
- Attend trainings as requested on EMR enhancement

Supervisory Responsibility: Supervision of clinical staff in the disciplines of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, School Psychology and Social Work.
Travel: Travel is expected for this position. This could include county to county travel, home visits, school and/or county meetings, conferences and trainings.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This job also operates in a clinical and classroom setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
