Status: Open
Salary: $55-58,000 based on experience
Location: Main office in Raleigh, North Carolina position is hybrid (3 days in office and 2 WFH), MUST be local or intend on moving to the area to be considered; requires occasional travel across the Triangle and other parts of the state.

About the position: The Youth Engagement Coordinator is responsible for engaging both new and current members of NCAAT’s youth leadership program which provides tools needed to move through the leadership pipeline and become future community leaders.
Role Responsibilities:
Youth Programming and Outreach
- Own Youth HOPE, Youth Ambassador (YAM) programs
- Build, maintain, and deepen relations with community youth through potential projects and recurring programs/events.
- Onboard new members in our communities by providing them with a summary of NCAAT’s mission, values, and missions, and available programming/volunteering opportunities that align with their interests, age, and availability.
- Facilitate moving the members up the ladder of engagement through either individual or programming cohort outreach.
- Collaborate with other teams on staff to guide and support youth involvement with NCAAT, with consideration to NCAAT’s mission and topics for 2023.
- Develop, plan, structure, and execute projects/program/events for youth cohorts, promoting collaboration with peers and across NCAAT teams.
Events
- Develop and implement virtual and in-person events for youth with consideration to NCAAT’s mission and values.
- Create spaces for youth collaboration among peers that includes, but is not limited to educational workshops, youth leadership conferences for personal and professional development, final projects related to one of NCAAT’s yearly topics.
- Build up leadership development programs for youth leaders for purposes of integrated civic engagement and advocacy
Management of Interns
- Onboard every intern with the appropriate training, resources, and tools they will utilize throughout the duration of their internship.
- Facilitate weekly one-on-one to set up youth for success with their personal projects and cohort check-ins to promote mutual support.
- Maintain a culture of care, support, and open/honest communication on the Youth Engagement team.

- Basic skills in any Asian language is a plus but is not required
