Market Operations Associate

Market 2day is a mobile app and delivery service that brings local food to consumers directly from real and virtual farmers markets. Our goal is to grow and strengthen the local food economy by expanding access to as many people as possible.

Customers find farmers markets nearby via the Market 2day app, browse products that are sold at the market, and pay through the app or online. Market 2day receives and delivers food on the same day as the market. To learn more about our service, please visit https://www.market2dayapp.com/.

Responsibilities

The Market Operations Associate is a key member of the team that supports the fulfillment and delivery of customer orders for each market.

Activities include:

• Preparing the work space, including moving and organizing tables and sterilization of all surfaces
• Assisting in the unloading, staging and organization of vendor products so that they are logically presented and easily accessible
• Selecting items for each customer order in a way that preserves the quality of each product
• Reviewing the accuracy of each picked order. Recording missing items and variable weights. Troubleshooting inventory discrepancies.
• Assembling orders in a way that preserves the quality of each product and is visibly appealing
• Staging orders so they are easily retrieved by each driver
• Organizing orders in your vehicle in a way to preserve the quality of each product, using route optimization software to deliver each order and communicate appropriately to each customer

Requirements

• Positive energy and attitude
• Interest in food and the local food system
• Organization and the ability to work quickly with attention to detail
• Work experience demonstrating direct customer service skills and the ability to troubleshoot
• Drivers license, a perfect driving record and your own vehicle that can carry at least 20 shopping bags
• The ability to lift 30 lbs
