Job Summary
The ATLAS Institute at CU Boulder welcomes applications for a temporary researcher. This position will focus on the development of hardware prototypes for interfacing with a digital jacquard loom. The researcher will both develop and improve the hardware interface and conduct user studies about the experience of interacting with the loom using the hardware prototypes. The researcher should also have strong communication with software developers for the project to ensure the hardware products integrate into the current set of software design.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Develop and improve the hardware interface and conduct user studies about the experience of interacting with the loom using the hardware prototypes to identify new features.
- Implement the new features while keeping communication with software developers for the project to ensure the hardware products integrate into the current set of software design.
What We Can Offer
The hire rate for this appointment will be $35.00 per hour.

What You Will Need
- Ability to prototype and fabricate custom hardware circuitry.
- Ability to design and produce complex woven structures.
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation allowing for someone to reproduce the hardware.

- Knowledge of front-end web software development.
