Roxbury Village School (RVS) is the hub of Roxbury, Vermont and part of the Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools. While offering a wide variety of cultural experiences that range from music to theater to lecture series in Montpelier and other close-by towns, we are also a 60 minute drive to Burlington and right down the road from multiple world-class ski areas. Local lakes, hiking and mountain biking trails, and nature centers offer ample opportunity for year-round outdoor activity that Vermont is known for around the globe. All this equates to Central Vermont being an ideal spot to live, work, and play.

Roxbury Village School is searching for an elementary teaching principal for its outstanding 40 students and 15 staff members. Its location offers plenty of unique learning environments - mostly through the vast forest, streams, farms, and fields surrounding the building. This principal will have multiple opportunities to impact change for the students of RVS - through providing intervention services as well as maintaining the direction and vision of our district through the oversight of systems. We are a District that values cultural inclusivity, belonging, collaboration, and doing whatever it takes to achieve high levels of learning for every child.

Vermont is an incredibly progressive state in the world of education and Montpelier Roxbury Public Schools lead the effort in many areas. MRPS is continually growing its system of proficiency-based learning, personalization, and effective multi-tiered system of supports so that all learners reach high levels of achievement.
