Title: Support Coordinator
Supervisor: Office Manager
Location: Huntsville, AL and/or Athens, AL (in office - no remote work)
Pearl BHS is growing, and we're searching for motivated individuals to help expand our organization’s business and clinical development to meet our increasing needs. We are looking for a future employee who is a quick learner, highly motivated, self-directed, proactive, an initiator, flexible, creative, organized, and confident.
Candidate will be responsible for coordinating the front desk operations, submitting electronic billing, answering client questions, and managing projects (marketing, business acceleration, etc.). Ability to learn about DSM 5 TR diagnoses and assessment procedures. Qualified candidates must have strong written & communication skills and impeccable attention to detail. Project management, knowledge of Excel, and customer service skills are a plus.
Compensation increases available based upon performance after 90 days of employment.
This is not a clinical position.
Scope of Role & Responsibilities
Financial Management
● Prepare invoices and manage client accounts
● Collect co-payments
● Insurance Billing
Client Care
● Answer and return all client calls
● Schedule client appointments for all clinicians and prescribers
● Provide support with client invoices
● Deal with client complaints and comments in a professional manner
Office Management
● Coordinate appropriate scheduling and ensure all schedules are up to date
● Maintain office appearance during business hours
General Support
● Call insurance companies as needed to verify benefits
● Preauthorizations as needed
● Send all intake paperwork to client using EMR, upon scheduling of first appointment
● Input all client documentation
● Additional duties as assigned
Required Education, Training & Professional Experience:
● High School Diploma Required (Bachelor's degree Preferred)
● 1-3 years experience in medical or mental health setting (Preferred)
● Knowledge or experience in mental health field
● Computer skills including: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PP, etc.), electronic medical records (EMR), online scheduling platforms
● HIPAA/Confidentiality Training (provided, but competency in HIPAA is preferred)
Looking for someone to start at around 15 hours a week with willingness to grow with the company. Organization is closed Fridays - Sundays.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
