Job description
The Adaptation and Resilience in Childhood Study (ARCS) in the Department of Psychiatry in the School of Medicine is seeking applications for two Student Workers to work this summer on a research study investigating the effects of domestic violence on young children.
Target start date: June 2023
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Aid with mother/child study assessment data collection, recruitment, preparation of study materials, data entry and cleaning
Conduct assessments of children, including direct assessment of development and emotion processing on a computer task and acquisition of psychophysiological data (EEG, heart rate, etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Ability to operate a computer, video equipment and other research equipment
Experience working with children
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Incumbent must be enrolled in a college degree program with undergraduate course work in psychology, child development or related fields
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience conducting developmental tests
Experience collecting electrophysiology data
Experience with REDCap
SCHEDULE: 10 – 20 hours per week; schedule to be determined based on needs of study. May include some weekends.
HOURLY RATE: $15.00 per hour. No benefits.
