SUMMARY
This position reports to the Senior Operations Controller. Heavily involved in month end closing, point of contact for manager questions. Assist Accounts Payable and assist with certain tasks such as editing, annual 1099 processing.

Responsibilities:

• Monthly Closing – gather information for various journal entries. Assist management with questions related to the general ledger, costs of goods, AP invoice accruals.
• Compiles various federal, state, and local reporting for property taxes, census, and business licenses.
• As a member of the Accounting P&L team, a point of contact for various manager questions including financial analysis to help with actionable recommendations
• Accounts Payable Duties:
• Share task of editing with AP Supervisor.
• Assist with yearly 1099 process.
• Assist with use tax calculations on purchasing card transactions and out of state vendors.
• Prepare and assist with any special project as needed.
• Follow and support Resort Vision, Mission Statement, and Core Values.
• All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Ability to prioritize duties.
• Ability to correspond and communicate well with vendors and internal managers.
• Aptitude for performing numerical analysis of data and formulating conclusions and/or solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a highly confidential and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write and speak English in a clear manner.
• Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Platinum/Sage experience a plus.
• Visual One experience a plus.

Education & Experience:

• 1-2 years (or more) related work experience.
• Strong financial competence needed.
• Ability to work well under pressure while resolving problems/conflict in a tactful and professional manner.

Essential Physical Requirements:

• Ability to enter computer data and work in an office environment for the majority of the day.
• Some bending over/stooping required for filing and pulling invoices from cabinets or storage boxes.
