Job Overview:
U.S. Light Energy, a leading national solar project developer located in Latham, NY, is seeking a motivated and results-driven Solar Lease Sales Coordinator to join our Inside Sales Team. This position will be responsible for generating new business leads, coordinating and executing the land leasing process for solar farm development via phone and email, and will work closely with the Outside Sales Team, as the Inside Sales contact, to create new land leasing opportunities and win existing opportunities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and customer service skills, with a background in inside sales coordination a plus.
As a Solar Lease Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with prospects, existing customers, and potential strategic partners. You will play a key role in identifying and executing strategies to create new land leasing opportunities for solar farms and will assist with the processing of inbound leads. This Inside Sales role requires a highly motivated and self-reliant individual who can effectively communicate the value proposition of our company through proposals and presentations.
This position will be based in our Latham, NY office, with occasional travel required for meetings and events. Primary Job Functions:
· Respond to inbound sales inquiries by introducing our company with an overview of services while gathering necessary data.
· Manage and nurture leads in our CRM system, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate record keeping.
· Collaborate with the Outside Sales team to identify and evaluate new land leasing opportunities.
· Develop and maintain relationships with landowners and potential strategic partners through telephone, email, and digital media communication.
· Schedule and facilitate meetings with prospects, customers, and partners to understand their needs and objectives.
· Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
· Work closely with the Sales Team to achieve business development targets and expand our customer base.
· Assist with the development and execution of strategic plans to achieve development targets.
· Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, such as Legal, Operations, and Marketing, to ensure the timely execution of land leasing agreements and subsequent solar farm development.
· Attend industry events and conferences as required.
Qualifications:
· 2-3 years in a customer-facing, service-oriented, or other comparable role.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Programs.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and partners.
· Strong organizational and task/time management skills.
· Self-motivated with a history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
· Trustworthiness and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
Desirable Qualifications:
· A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
· Experience or a background in Renewable Energy, Legal, Real Estate, Utilities, Construction, or Telecommunications.
· Desire to further personal development through education, training, industry events, and conferences.
· Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
· Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
· Experience with CRM software/SalesForce and digital communication tools.
· Proven ability to position products against competitors’ products.
