We are currently seeking a Shop Technician/Furniture Repair to work full-time at our Dallas Warehouse Location. Responsibilities:

Inspect and touch-up furniture being loaded on delivery trucks each morning, insuring merchandise is repaired promptly

Customer service experience, must conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with public

Performs repairs to furniture in client’s homes as needed, while following company policy under customer service guidelines

Communicate client’s complaints and home repairs needed with Customer Service Rep

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with client’s to provide information and respond to complaints

Keeps accurate records of all repairs for use in receiving credit from vendors

Experience with hand tools are preferred

Maintain inventory and stock levels for all repair furniture items and tools

Maintain shop appearance and cleanliness

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to multi-task

Must work autonomously or as a team member

Must complete and understand all company sponsored safety programs

Must operate in a manner in compliance with OSHA standards

Occasionally perform or assist with installations for wall systems, kitchens and closets

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required

3+ year experience repairing and servicing furniture required

1+ year experience driving a service van

Strong working knowledge of wood, leather and upholstery repairs

Experience using shop tools to repair furniture and demonstrate general mechanical aptitude

Ability to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing between 70 lbs – 100 lbs

Must be 21 years of age

Must have a clean driving record and valid driver license

Knowledge of DFW area for service calls

Must pass pre-screening drug test

Job Type: Full-time, 8 hr shift Monday – Friday, In-person
