Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of Cardiovascular Service Line, the Stress Lab RN will have a thorough understanding/knowledge all Stress Lab and Pacemaker Clinic procedures and equipment. Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of Cardiac Arrhythmias and advanced Cardiac Arrhythmias interpretation. The nurse will assess, prep, monitor, record procedural testing data, and initiate follow-up on all patient responses to stress testing. The nurse will coordinate and conduct all Pacemaker Clinic procedures to include: patient enrollment with a 'follow-up service', and checking/adjusting pacemaker setting using the manufacturer's programmer.

Cardiology Services provides non-invasive diagnostic testing and invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat patient's with known or suspected coronary artery disease, unstable angina, valvular disease, dysrhythmia, congestive heart failure, ST/nonST elevation MI, and peripheral vascular disease.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3 to 5 years Medical/Surgical Nursing to include 2 to 3 years of Critical Care Nursing (CCU preferred).

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Cardiology/Cardiac Office preferred

• Current RN License issued by North Carolina State Board of Nurses.

• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS maintained.

• B.S. Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing.
