1 Buying/Purchasing in Manufacturing and/or Metal - 3+ yrs.

2. Place PO's, follow up with existing vendors and keep costs in-line

3. ERP or Epicor/MS Office Suites

Full Description

The Buyer/Purchasing Agent will purchase, negotiate and process all purchasing paperwork and will be responsible for negotiating and renegotiating rates.

The selected candidate will further possess:

• Experience purchasing in a manufacturing environment - Metal or Electronics ideal - 3 yrs
• Dependable and responsible who can take direction and work with little supervision when required.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems creating purchase order and tracking shipments. Epicor a
• Must be detail oriented, dependable and able to work in a fast pace working environment under pressure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Review and process purchase orders
• Follow up on orders to determine status.
• Interact with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and lead time
• Communicate with internal personnel for material needs.
• Coordinates lead times for material orders with requesters.
• Ability to create and update Reports utilizing Microsoft software.
• Utilize purchasing and inventory software.
• Attend meetings as requested by management/supervisors.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
• Communicate pertinent information in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Research, interview, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications

Hourly Pay Rate Range - $24 - $27 hr.
