Job description
This position is responsible for inspecting the incoming quality of purchased components to ensure that documented quality standards are met. Also responsible for final audit of finished production parts. Performs necessary tests when required to ensure all documented quality standards are met. Responsible for finished goods quality and verifying compliance to documented procedures and standards of products, processes, and quality systems.
Accountabilities:
- Follow documented procedures
- Ensure that the latest revision work instruction (inspection plan) is in place
- Ensure gages and other inspection tools are in good working order and calibration status is current
- Perform receiving inspection according to the work instruction (inspection plan)
- Record results on inspection sheet or in tablet (PLEX) as designated by part-specific criteria
- Notify quality engineer(s) promptly of non-conforming material
- Identify, tag, and contain non-conforming material properly in MRB area
- Assist with disposition of non-conforming material
- Audit finished goods quality, quantity, and labeling
- Ensure all non-conforming material placed in the correct bin/rack, tagged, and contained
- Occasionally perform receiving inspection according to the work instruction
- Assist in team training other Quality Inspectors
- Perform any other special projects, tasks, or assignments as needed
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs., on occasion
- Ability to stand for extensive periods of time
- Must be capable of working independently and completing tasks in a timely manner without supervision.
