Description: Programmer Analyst - Full-Time
Summary: This is a new position that will be part of a team responsible for supporting and enhancing current and future in-house software and systems that have been custom developed or automated with code. The primary focus of this position is to maintain and build on the company’s existing customized software used to operate the business. The first project for the successful candidate will be a replacement of our Warehouse Management System tailored to our specific needs, with many other projects waiting in the wings. While there will be an occasional need to work with the existing code base, the priority for this position and the development team will be new projects to replace and/or integrate with existing functionality. We are seeking an individual with a well-rounded skill set that is familiar with all phases of software development on multiple platforms. This person should be excited by the challenge of taking on multiple roles in software development and analysis.

The position title is tentatively Programmer Analyst but may change depending on the successful candidate’s qualifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of and backup support for existing software, code, and databases.
• Identify current functionality that would benefit from more modern technologies and help develop new solutions.
• Collaborate with management, end-users, and team members to establish requirements for new projects and enhancements to existing software.
• Work with a team and individually to design, develop, document, test and implement software solutions.
• Help establish common standards and tools for team development.
• Research new innovations and technologies to apply to company needs.

Requirements:

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a team environment
• Microsoft development – Visual Studio targeting .NET Framework Windows Forms, ASP.NET, WCF
• VB.NET and/or C# coding experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL and database design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in food processing, manufacturing, warehousing, and/or distribution environments
• Mobile device development with emphasis on Android platform
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Cloud computing and APIs – AWS, Azure, Google Maps
• Understanding of business concepts and processes – order fulfillment, inventory management, warehousing, shipping, etc.

• Experience with EDI systems and specifications
• GS1 Standards and GDSN
• Project lead and design
• General Accounting knowledge
• Reporting tools
• Food Safety principles
• Microsoft Office and collaboration tools customization and integration

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to moderate to loud noise.

Salary Description: $85,000 annually plus, dependent on qualifications and experience

Job Type: This is a full-time, 40-hours-a-week position. The schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
