The Finance Program Manager will be heavily relied upon by MGB Enterprise Marketing and Communications (Marcom) leadership for all financial-related matters. This important team member will lead: Marcom financial initiatives, including annual budget development; monthly close processes; monthly financial reporting, variance analyses and forecasts; position control processes; the development and delivery of finance/budget presentations; provides education to Marcom leadership on how operational activities impact financial performance; and ad-hoc projects and analyses.

  • Provide high level and in-depth budget and monthly budget updates and variance analyses for Marcom leadership.
  • Work closely with Marcom leadership and central finance staff on issues surrounding budget development, reporting, and special projects.
  • Coordinate and execute the annual operating budget process.
  • Analyze proposed operating budget requests; coordinate questions for discussion and participate in negotiation of budget issues with Marcom leadership; make recommendations regarding proposed spending.
  • Develop, analyze and prepare variety of regular and ad hoc operational reporting analyses and projects for issues related to Marcom leadership inquiries and initiatives. Compile financial schedules and participate in, or lead, special projects as requested.
  • Work on various monthly, quarterly and annual budget presentations.
  • Leverage access to multiple systems such as Hyperion, Epic, Tableau, EPSi, Position Control, PeopleSoft Financials and Human Resources Management System to enhance analytics.
  • Design and maintain accurate records and databases, including POs, accruals, and position control reports.
  • Manage Marcom submissions to MGB enterprise positon control process.
  • Work with Marcom leadership monthly forecasts and month end closing processes.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field. Masters degree a plus.
  • Three to five years experience in healthcare or hospital finance preferred.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal
  • Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Must be extremely well organized to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under sometimes tight deadlines
  • Take-charge ability and excellent judgment in determining and leveraging resources.
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion in interacting with Marcom leadership on sensitive fiscal and confidential issues.
