BASIC PURPOSE:

The Production Operator is responsible for following set standards and practices to produce a quality baked White Castle bun. The duties include, but are not limited to, machine operation, quality assurance, safety, GMP’s, and fork truck operation. The Production Operator must work with the bakery team to complete objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operate mixer to produce consistent dough for development of the White Castle bun.
• Operate extruder to produce consistent dough pieces for development of the White Castle bun.
• Final checker to ensure that there is no excessive flour in pans and that dough balls are properly panned.
• Operate packaging machine to bag and box all good quality baked product for palletizing and shipment.
• Palletize and operate fork truck to store packaged product for selection and shipment by the shipping department.
• Carton stripping to sort through bad corrugated cartons for re-use in the box former.
• Follow all company safety rules.

Physical Requirements:

• Bend, turn, twist, climb, stoop, stand and lift objects up to 60 lbs.
• Lift 45 lbs. several times during shift.
• Wear protective clothing and equipment.
• Able to tolerate extreme cold, wet, hot or dusty environments.
• Work in confined spaces and high places.
• Tolerate working with chemicals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Able to operate all equipment on production line.
• Must be able to operate fork-truck.
• Able to follow written and/or verbal procedures and directions.
• Able to communicate effectively.
• Able to work cohesively with and among others to achieve the end results.
