Job description
Provides physical therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Documents patient treatment. Adheres to MercyOne Northeast Iowa's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of MercyOne Northeast Iowa.High school diploma plus completion of Physical Therapy Assistant program or equivalent. No prior experience required.
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of Iowa, Mandatory Reporter, BLS. FIM. Valid IA driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) (Contract Therapy only).
- High language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability.
- Personal computer.
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
- Ability to attend patients off-site in a timely manner.
- Ability to be flexible.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Good judgment and insight.
- Ability to communicate effectively with treatment team, supervisors, peers, patients and families.
