Job Description:
The Patient Access Registrar is a Full Time, Regular position working Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with a one hour lunch at Holy Family Imaging Center.
This position will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID and other infectious diseases (i.e. MMR, Varicella, etc.) or qualify for a medical/religious exemption to work in a healthcare setting
Summary: Greets and welcome all patients and visitors presenting a friendly, courteous and professional image. Checks in patients with ordered exam, checks for previous films in medicalis and intellispace collects patient payments, verifies eligibility for insurance, answers phones and ensures a smooth patient flow.

- Provides high level of customer service by:
- Greets and welcomes all patients and visitors
- Ensures all patients are registered and “arrived”
- Patients requiring assistance are provided assistance as needed
- Keeps a clean work area to represent the professional image of Inland Imaging
- Prepares paperwork for patient exams in advance, including add-ons, and give the paperwork to appropriate modality
- Answer phones and assist callers
- Patient Registration -Arrive and update patient demographics check eligibility on Insurance in Medicalis, check payment estimator to give to patient
- Check PayNav for proper Insurance information- try to find patient’s insurance info if they do not have it with them or is not located on referral.
- Find and link orders to patient exams
- Interpreter check in through Language Link.
- generates reports as requested by referring provider offices
- Document Scan all paperwork and attach to patients Accession numbers.
- Burns patient exams and reports onto CD’s to be given to patients and referring provider offices
- Coordinate with FedEx for next day mail service requests
- Locates and obtains previous related films for upcoming Mammography appointments
- Pull prior studies over to our PACs from Carestream
- Resolve the exception log for Previous
- Load Mammography CD’s that have been requested for Previous
- PAC Scan to Patient Time line any reports for previous
- Push Images from Isite to other facilities
- Processes patient payments through Zirmed
- Identify patient orders in the clerical work list – and check insurance eligibility
- Create prior Auth Orders for MRI and CT
- Call referring offices to obtain orders not found
- Work with all departments to ensure smooth patient flow and care
- Merge accounts and resolve exceptions
- Schedules walk-in patient exams
- Verify ICD-10 codes match description for walk in exam’s
- Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Fill out consent forms for breast procedures
- Calling referring offices to obtain orders not found in Medicalis or to clarify orders
- Assist patients with their needs while they are in the office
- Work with all departments to ensure smooth patient flow and care
- SHIC – Fulfill medical record request for radiology department at SHMC.
- SHIC-Do mammography previous for mammography department
- SC – work with departments to schedule St Lukes patients and pull demographic/insurance info from Meditech.
- SC-Help switchboard with all the medical requests for Inland Imaging
- This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.

- Rotates to other shifts and locations as needed
- Attendance is a requirement for this position.

Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED required
- Experience: One year of clerical experience is preferred
- Anatomy and medical terminology – preferred
- Medical office experience – preferred
- Understanding of all procedures to be read by radiologist – preferred
- Computer Skills: Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Kronos; Imagecast; Stentor; Flowcast; Meditech; Web Portals EPIC : PayNav; Medicalis
- Background Check:
- Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
- In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Employees must not be included on this list.
- Drug Test: Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test which includes Marijuana.
