Job description

Job Summary:

The Packaging Operator is responsible for filling production orders, the daily operation of packaging equipment, warehouse management and transportation duties. To hold this position an operator must be proficient with packaging equipment and quality control parameters related to bottling, canning and kegging of product. In addition, an operator must lead by example and utilize teamwork skills to help the production team work together to complete daily tasks, while increasing production throughout and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

Following the production schedule to ensure orders are met on time and in the proper packaging materials

Ensure quality control is met throughout all packaging processes

Efficiently operate all equipment at the bottling, kegging and canning lines

Keep all packaging and storage areas sanitized, organized and clean

Utilize mechanical and troubleshooting capabilities to tune, clean, and maintain equipment so minimal downtime is accrued.

Identify problems on the line and notify management as needed for repair

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
