Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search to find Expierenced Water Plant Operators job is located in The Channelview area. As an Expierenced Water Plant Operator you will be responsible for overseeing the testing of the wastewater process and pre-screening new stream samples in the plant. Operator will need to be flexible. Schedules are subject to change.

• DAF experience preferred
• Centrifuge or Filter Press experience preferred
• Dewatering Boxes experience preferred
• Lab experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to work alone with minimal oversight
• DOT/RCRA experience preferred
• Hazwoper experience preferred
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to wear a respirator required
• Ability to work On-call schedule required

Day-to-day operations

Lab

Wastewater plant process control testing

Truck unload qualifications

Prescreen new stream samples

DAF chemical dosage studies and chemical applications

Treatment Operations

Coagulant dosage studies to minimize chemical use

Running the DAF unit

Sampling of wastewater effluent

pH logs

Gauging clarifiers

Truck Offloading

Industrial, Septic, and Chemical

Execute all work orders and sign shipping documentation correctly

Inventory tracking

Completion of daily wastewater logs

Waste tracking and storage; keeping all waste in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Maintaining good housekeeping

Requirements

Requirements

Must have in-depth knowledge of Texas waste classification for profiling. This includes Listed Hazardous, Characteristically Hazardous, Class 1, Class 2, Used Oil, Recovered Products, special exemptions, etc.

Schedule: Must be flexible with shift and shift changes
