Occupational Therapist (OT) Opening Near Yelm, WA | 2023-24 School Year
Job description
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team for the upcoming academic year. This is a part-time position that requires 3 days a week commitment for the entire academic year. The successful candidate will work with a caseload of 30 students from Pre-K to 12th grade.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans for each student in the caseload
- Conduct assessments to evaluate each student's fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities, and identify areas of improvement
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure that the occupational therapy goals align with the overall educational goals of each student
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of each student's progress
Requirements:
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Washington State Occupational Therapy License
- At least 2 years of experience working with school-aged children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with a team
