Ambulatory Medical Practices MSO Inc. (AMP), for ColumbiaDoctors, has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Insurance Verification/Authorization Specialist to join our growing practice!
Ambulatory Medical Practices MSO Inc. (AMP), for ColumbiaDoctors, is a Management Service Organization (MSO) that provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors Medical Group and ColumbiaDoctors of the Hudson Valley. ColumbiaDoctors is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in New York State, comprised of an experienced group of physicians specializing in Cardiology, Vascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Obesity, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. Our group is comprised of over 50 Columbia physicians treating patients throughout Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties. Our locations include Valhalla, Hawthorne, White Plains, Yonkers, Scarsdale, Suffern and Monroe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- 2+ Years Medical Office Experience: Insurance Verification & Authorization
- Responsibilities include correcting and updating patient information, insurance eligibility and obtaining proper verifications and authorizations prior to visit
- Verify patient and insurance data is accurately processed through systems applications, electronically, via website or telephone
- Motivated & Enthusiastic Team Player
- Customer-Service Oriented Environment
- Multi-Task & Communicate Effectively in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Computer Savvy
- EPIC/EMR Experience Preferred
- Not a remote position - "In Office" only
Education and Experience:
- High school or equivalency diploma and either: (a) completion of an approved two year program (b) two years’ experience performing clerical duties at a hospital, medical laboratory or other healthcare delivery service (c) satisfactory equivalent combination of a & b
- Knowledge of Medical Insurances (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial) including referrals and pre-authorizations
- Strong computer skills
The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered for this position at the time of this job ad and may be modified in the future. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
