Job description

The Mechanical and Design Engineering position is a working lead position that oversees a small team that supports design engineering and development of new products and improve existing product designs, components, or structures for the Automotive Aftermarket, Industrial and Non-Automotive Vehicular Markets.

· Facilitates troubleshooting and problem solving to provide solutions and resources for engineering.

· Evaluates and recommends specifications to ensure products meet the technical, form, fit, function and structural integrity by optimizing the CAD (Solidworks) system.

· Encourages idea generation for improved CAD guidelines and procedures to achieve engineering efficiencies.

· Provides project management that ensures projects and development targets are met.

Successful candidates will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering/Design with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or an equivalency in an Engineering Technology Degree and a minimum of ten years mechanical engineering and design experience.

· A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the metal fabrication industry is required.

· Candidate must have solid modeling experience along with the basics of FEA structural analysis and experience working within a team structure.

· Candidate must communicate technical ideas effectively within the organization as well as with customers.

· Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
