Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator assists with all aspects of marketing operations. He or she makes contributions to existing marketing programs while assisting with the development of new initiatives designed to further awareness of the Bank. The Marketing Coordinator utilizes software applications to assist with the creation and development of marketing materials. He or she assists with social media management, reputation management, and all other digital efforts. The Marketing Coordinator performs various analytical tasks. He or she assists the Vice President Marketing Director, with specific projects and programs. The Marketing Coordinator works with management to maintain and promote a friendly, collaborative, and productive work environment to promote good relations with fellow employees and vendors. He or she provides high quality and professional service to management, customers and fellow coworkers.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
- Five years of marketing and/or advertising experience or a combination of both
- Must have previous experience with SEO, SEM, SCO, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, HTML, e-mail marketing, social media platforms, and website management
- Must be proficient in using the Internet and e-mail
- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Accurate and attentive to detail
- Well organized
- Good typing skills
- Willing and able to help others
- Able to use a computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipment
- Able to get along well with coworkers
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for the effective day-to-day operations of the marketing department
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Bank’s marketing and brand strategy
- Ensures branding consistency is carried through various marketing collateral
- Conducts research to analyze market trends and the success of marketing campaigns. Prepares reports and compares metrics to evaluate the success of marketing campaigns and program success
- Provides market research, campaign results, forecasts, and analysis from competitors
- Supports the Vice President Marketing Director with the evaluation of the overall marketing strategy and with the setting of short-term and long-term marketing objectives
- Reviews all marketing collateral, including but not limited to press releases, website content, email campaigns, social media, banners, business cards, brochures, billboards, booklets, flyers, signs, digital in-branch content, ATM screens, etc.
- Assists in design and concept development as needed using Adobe Creative Suite programs, including but not limited to Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Assists with media research and placement and makes recommendations accordingly
- Collaborates with other members within the department to coordinate all marketing efforts. Works with the team to design, write and position ad copies to ensure brand strategy and accuracy
- Assists with planning of branch celebrations, grand openings, open houses, etc.
- Maintains brand standards and tone across all communication channels and tools
- Assists with Customer Relationship Management Program (CRM). Research and compiles reporting information with the ability to analyze data and information
- Brainstorms and develops ideas for creative marketing campaigns
- Identifies and recommends improvements and changes to existing marketing programs and campaigns
- Ensures that all marketing materials and communications comply with industry standards, rules and regulations
- Assist in managing and monitoring the scholarship program
- Assist in managing and monitoring the laptop giveaway program
- Assumes responsibility for day-to-day online content coordination
- Analyzes website traffic and internet activity related to company and company products
- Develops strategies to attract customers using online mediums by using web-based marketing and search engine optimization (SEO) techniques
- Maintains current knowledge of online marketing trends, SEO techniques and web analytics. Makes suggestions accordingly
- Compiles and analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of online marketing plans and campaigns. Prepares reports to share and analyze marketing campaign results
- Assists with social media content development and reporting as needed including; Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and You Tube
- Monitors external blogs, writes/creates blog posts and prepares content for social networking sites and forums and participates in the conversations as needed
- Monitors social media emerging trends/best practices and provides proactive recommendations to Vice President Marketing Director
- Monitors' company website to ensure all information is up to date, consistent, accurate and appropriate. Creates campaigns, ads and landing pages designed to optimize the user experience
- Performs various tasks related to a bank’s reputation and SEO management. Makes recommendations accordingly to Vice President Marketing Director
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with clients, vendors, and other business professionals
- Resolves or appropriately refers to questions, requests, complaints, and problems. Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls and either notifies staff members or records and relays messages. Conducts visitors to proper offices and announces them
- Collaborates with vendors, agencies and other partners to create appropriate, compliant and worthwhile content that supports the Bank’s overall mission and goals
- Maintains professional relationships with various media representatives and sales executives
- Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with area staff and with management
- Assists other members of the marketing team with questions or projects and serves as a backup for other marketing duties when staffing levels are low
- Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns
- Maintains and projects the Bank's professional reputation
- Serves as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community
- Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times
- Completes special projects as assigned
- Attends meetings as required
