Career Start is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a national food and beverage manufacturer in Henrietta, NY. Preferred candidates for the Maintenance Technician position will have 3 years’ previous experience. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting all maintenance and repairs of facility compressed air systems, HVAC, low- and high-pressure steam systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, fire system, plant heating and air conditioning systems and other mechanical systems across site.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
- Perform basic diagnostic analysis of electrical circuits on all systems
- Operate facility ammonia refrigeration and steam systems
- Read and understand machine prints, drawings and sketches
- Fabricate parts to perform maintenance repairs
- Maintain and repair refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air and HVAC fields
- Use cutting and welding equipment, both gas and electrical
Requirements of the Maintenance Technician:
- Must be capable of completing all lifting (100 lbs.), climbing, and other physical demands
- Must have working knowledge of refrigeration, steam generation, compressed air and HVAC fields.
- CFC Certification
- Must be physically capable of wearing a gas mask and self-contained breathing apparatus
