Job description
An EZARC Beam Line Operator is critical to the field of forming material by operating CNC machines and equipment such as Plasma Arc, NC Punch Plasma, Beam Line Machine, Beam Punch Operator, and NC Angle Master. The operator will utilize a high degree of proficiency while utilizing full skills in the trade - including a knowledge and understanding of CNC machine programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure a safe work environment for self and coworkers.
- Oversee and operate the step beamline.
- Produce quality step beams that meet customer expectations.
- Schedule and perform regular size changes.
- Participate and perform regular maintenance on the line.
- Train and ensure an understanding of other positions on the beamline.
- Perform other roll-forming tasks as needed.
- Layout, read, and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and other company documents.
- Operate heavy steel fabrication machinery according to company requirements.
- Load and unload equipment with material manually and through the use of an overhead crane or magnet.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot, properly mark, and stamp materials.
- Perform daily cleaning of machines.
- Locate parts and supplies for machine operation and grind material.
- Perform other routine duties per management direction.
- Adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Previous experience operating beamline equipment.
- Completion of a closely related vocational training course is preferred but not required.
- Previous roll-forming or tube-making experience is preferred.
- Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
