Position Title: Medical Science Liaison-Melanoma West
Territory: All States west of the Mississippi River
Product: Gene Expression Profile (GEP) Test for Melanoma
Therapeutic Area / Indication: Oncology / Skin Cancer
Position Overview: As a member of the Medical Affairs department, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) operates independently, supporting the GEP Test for Melanoma and assisting the National team. Additionally, the MSL stays informed about customer needs and field support requirements. The MSL focuses on building professional relationships with dermatopathologists and regional clinics in all states west of the Mississippi River to foster corporate partnerships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify and cultivate long-term collaborative relationships with opinion leaders.
- Scientific presentations.
- Creating advisory presentation materials.
- Clinical trial support.
- Aiding in sales training.
- Support at National and Regional meetings.
Qualifications (Education & Experience): To qualify for this position, you need an advanced degree and 3+ years of MSL experience in Melanoma, Oncology, or Diagnostics. Connections with pathologists and rare disease experience are preferred. You must be able to travel, have excellent communication skills, and be self-sufficient in a start-up environment. Strong scientific and clinical knowledge and regulatory compliance are essential when interacting with the medical community.
