Come work by the ocean! Private yacht club is looking for a professional who is great on a team or on their own. Applicant will be expected to prepare to the existing menu, the daily & weekly specials, and seasonal item rotations. Our chefs interact with our members so a friendly disposition is key.
Responsibilities
- Assist in receiving & sticking of food deliveries
- Prepare food for service
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff or on own (day shift)
- Ensure that food comes out consistently
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
