Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s North Carolina Battery Plant Manufacturing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Internal Logistics Group Leader.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Internal Logistics (IL) Department Manager and support meeting all Logistics safety, quality, cost, and productivity KPI s during initial pre-production through SOP and eventual transition into responsibility for stable conveyance.

Reporting to the IL Manager the person in this role will support the Logistics department's objective to minimize Toyota North American Total Supply Chain Costs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Implement and execute Production Control organization’s mission and vision that will support achieving TBMNC’s mission and vision.

  • Support and enable direct report activity to achieve strategic direction to ensure successful conveyance launch of all battery lines.

  • Support and execute the Logistics hoshin to support achievement of company KPI.

  • Support the strategic direction to implement, improve, and sustain the 3 Pillar and FMDS systems for battery production.

  • Support HRD strategy to successfully develop bench for all levels TL – Sr. Mgr.

  • Collaborate closely with other groups to promote strong kaizen culture to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.

  • Kaizen functions for TBMNC internal conveyance current daily process to drive standardization and promote best practice.

  • Support NAMC with Pre-logistic activities through the use of IL tools, gentani, and innovations.

  • Support NAMC with internal logistics planning of new model through IL standards and benchmarking tools to create best practice assumptions.

  • Complete Time Entry and effectively manage all coding and HR issues daily.

  • Understand Staffing Conditions and adjust accordingly.

  • Understand the line condition and ensure tools/equipment are capable prior to shift start.

What you bring

  • High School diploma/GED or higher.

  • Logistics or PC management experience.

  • Strong communication & visualization skills.

  • Ability to create and execute strategic direction.

  • Hoshin creation and execution.

  • Technical problem-solving ability (PDCA, RC/CM, TBP).

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Excel, etc.).

Added bonus if you have

  • Battery Manufacturing experience

  • 3 Pillar management/execution experience.
