About Us Gierke Robinson Company, Inc is a family owned distributor of supplies and equipment to the concrete construction industry. We have been located in Davenport, Iowa since 1919. We offer sales, rental and repair of a variety of concrete construction equipment and supplies.

Job Description
Qualifications/Requirements

The Inside Counter Sales/Customer Service position is responsible for the servicing of all telephone and walk-in customers in the rental and sale of all types of construction equipment and supplies. This position is responsible for understanding the customer’s needs, placing orders, creating rental contracts and supporting sales development and customer satisfaction. Specific requirements are as follows:

• Determine/understand customer needs through questioning/qualifying; provides alternative suggestions based on customer application
• Administers rental contracts
• Place customer orders with vendors
• Support sales efforts by performing prospecting calls
• Deliver/picks-up product as needed
• Stocks shelves, maintain sales floor merchandise, load/unload product
• Willing to work 40 hours per week – within 1st shift hours of 7 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday plus four Saturday shifts from 8 AM to 11 AM from April 1 through October 31
• Must be reliable and have good computer skills
• Mechanical ability preferred
• Insurable driver's license

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs, bend, squat, crouch and reach as needed
• Work is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor activities during loading/unloading or delivery
