A Day in the Life (Just a Few of the Things You Will Do):

• Provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program.
• Understanding and applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards, ICD 503, and the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 security controls.
• Experience drafting technical documentation, to include documents necessary to gain Authorities to Operate (ATO).
• Supporting the process to gain Authorities-to-Operate for software systems through Intelligence Community Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards.
• Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Maintain operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
• Assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
• Provide configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
• Manage changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes. Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs.

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking an Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join their team.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• 18+ years’ experience performing and providing security support to hardware, software, and applications. Bachelor's Degree in a related Technical Field may be substituted for 4 years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience providing technical guidance to mid-level personnel.
• Experience developing technical documentation.
• Technical experience with:
• XACTA, Gatekeeper, ROCBLASTER, KnightSupreme, LatteArt, CASPORT, or similar
• Reviewing system and application logs
• Creating data flow diagrams, architectural diagrams, and boundary diagrams
• Secure the Enterprise Initiatives
• Identify and implement solutions to address Plan of Actions & Milestones (PO&Ms)
• Zero-trust architecture and framework adherence
• Understanding and applying the Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards, ICD 503, and the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 security controls.
• Experience drafting technical documentation, to include documents necessary to gain Authorities to Operate (ATO).
• Experience working with STIG Compliance
• Basic Unix operating system commands and log files
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills to resolve information security challenges.
• Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, and team members.
• Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE (although NOT required):

• CISSP certification.
• Previous client ISSE experience.
• Experience with IAVAs, audit events, managing entitlements
