Job Summary
The LASP HR team encourages applications for an HR Technician! Our team is looking for a dedicated, conscientious, and resourceful HR Technician to help support the lab’s 700+ research and student-employee population. The primary role of this position is to coordinate payroll, recruitment, and other personnel functions across the lab.

LASP is a world-renowned space science research institute at the University of Colorado Boulder. CU receives more NASA funding than any public university in the country, due in large part to LASP programs. Professional engineers work closely with scientists and assembly technicians in designing and building space flight hardware while helping mentor students as entry-level engineers working on these programs. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
- Responsible for recruitment and selection processes for assigned employee types, providing interpretations of division, university, and state guidelines and policies for hiring leaders.
- Advise hiring supervisors and leaders on current standard processes in HR as it relates to hiring and selection along with ensuring the position number, funding, approving signatures, salary request, and posting information are appropriate and accurate.
- Process personnel actions and appointment changes in HCM and HRIS systems.
- Run payroll for assigned employee types.

- This position offers a hybrid work modality with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week.
What We Can Offer
The hiring range for this position is $42,000 - $52,000 annually.

What We Require
- Two years of work experience in an administrative support role. Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
