New Hope Manor in Barryville, NY is seeking an experienced Food Services Assistant to join our team! This position is sign-on bonus eligible!

The Food Services Assistant is a part-time position, and will work with Food Services Coordinator to provide meals to clients in the program.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintaining knowledge of food and beverage preparation
• Follow DOH & USDA regulations
• Keep an up-to-date inventory system for all food; perishables, non-perishables, and cookware
• Provide kitchen safety guidance to the clients
• Work with the clients on food safety, preparation, etc.
• Follow nutritionally balanced weekly menus, addressing the needs of vegetarians and allergies
• Maintain kitchen and equipment
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:
-Ability to follow state, federal and DOH guidelines
-Ability to multi-task
-Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
-Have knowledge of nutritional guidelines and ability to apply knowledge to a menu for up to 53 clients
