Job Title: Aerospace Fabricator and TIG Welder
Location: Phoenix AZ USA 85040
Duration: 6+ months
Shift: First 6:30am - 3:00pm

Summary
- The Aerospace Component Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating and welding high tolerance aerospace components.
- Work closely with Engineering and peers to efficiently produce high quality parts. Critical and Problem-Solving skills are essential.
Essential Function
- Precision TIG welding on various materials (Tubing, Sheet, Machined details etc.) and thickness’s varying from .020”-.125”
- Performs TIG welding utilizing a rotary table.
- Performs fitting/fabrications of assemblies which include sizing, scribing, and grinding.
- Repairs some of his or her own parts.
- Regularly evaluates his/her own product quality for continuous improvement.
- May perform auto machine welding, spot-welding, seam-welding, poke tacking and braze preparation.
- Completes routine and some advanced TIG welding tasks while applying standard practices.
- Properly prepares weld surfaces.
- Successfully complete the Exotic Metals TIG weld training program and/or have equivalent experience.
- Hold multiple Exotic Metals weld qualification/certifications, including Fillet Welding in the 2F and 3F positions and Groove welding in the 1G, 2G and 3G positions.
- Able to operate manufacturing machinery associated with typical aerospace processes.
- Interprets and follows written instructions, sketches, weld schedules, drawings, and documents.
- Performs all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
- May train others on prior job experience.
- Works under limited oversight.
- Meets or exceeds operations standards for efficiency.
- Knows when to stop and finds appropriate interpretation when necessary.
- Regular and acceptable punctuality and attendance.
Required Experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to TIG weld aerospace components comprised of Nickel, Titanium and Stainless Alloys.
- Ability to TIG weld materials .020”-.125”
- Ability to consistently produce X-Ray/ FPI quality welds.
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Basic knowledge of AWS D17.1
- Knowledge of shop math and precision measurement equipment.
- Capable of inspecting a broad variety of parts.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Work is performed near moving mechanical parts and team member will have exposure to loud noises from operating equipment.
- The team member is required to always wear company-provided personal protective equipment while on the manufacturing floor.
Physical Requirements
Moderate to heavy work:
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Must have the ability to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
- Must have manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
- Must be able to see details at close range.
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend and kneel.
- Ability to often reach with hand and arms and grasp.
- Ability to frequently talk and hear.
- Ability to constantly stand.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
