The Early Childhood Director is a Full Time position that leads the development and coordination of safe and engaging quality licensed and accredited child care programs. This position is responsible for program management and compliance of our licensed Early Childhood child care program(s) in accordance with accreditation standards, YoungStar, licensing standards of the State of Wisconsin, and the YUSA Child Care Best Practices.
Essential Functions:
The Early Childhood Education Director oversees and manages the quality of our licensed pre-school, wrap care, 4K and summer childcare programs. The Director implements developmentally appropriate program curriculum, coordinates supplies for designated programs, and assures compliance with accreditation, licensing and YMCA program standards. The Director also hires, trains, provides guidance to and directs Early Childhood Care Teachers and volunteers as needed. Budget development and management of it is essential.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- At least one year related management experience in administration and providing guidance to staff and/or volunteers is required.
- At least six months experience in licensed child care as a teacher required.
- Knowledge of state licensing, city accreditation and Youngstar rules and requirements preferred.
- Must be qualified for 50+ children (min Level 13 on the registry) or be willing to complete within first year of hire.
