Director of Clinical Services
Job description
Our client provides behavioral health services to juvenile youth in correctional facilities and/or outpatient programs. We're seeking an Assistant Director of Clinical Services to join their team in Tampa. You'll have the opportunity to manage a small caseload yourself while providing clinical and administrative support to programs helping some of the most vulnerable populations in Tampa.
Overview
You'll provide some individual and group therapy (very limited), and focus on providing clinical support to other therapists, nurses, specialists, case managers, etc. on staff. That may include collaborating to create treatment plans, case management, "on-the-spot" support, professional development support, and more.
Duties and Responsibilities
- using a variety of expert therapy modalities, conducts some limited group and family process-oriented therapies.
- identifies the residents' aftercare needs using information from the treatment team and written chart information to create and help in tailored discharge planning for the patients.
- participates in regular treatment team meetings to offer perspective on the overall case management of the resident. This is done by reading and discussing written progress notes from charts and communicating any local or state agency legal requirements for case management.
- keeps track of therapy services overall.
- organizes groups for residents and family members that are didactic and educational
- reports suspected abuse situations utilizing the appropriate community/state agency's forms and procedures.
- keeps license current in accordance with state laws
- Identify, address, and stop the abuse of young people.
- regularly and successfully applies the programs Behavior Management System (BMS) and Positive Performance System (PPS)
- carries out additional tasks as directed by a supervisor.
Qualifications
- Must have a current LMHC/LCSW/LMFT license in the state of FL, preferably with at least a year of experience working directly with children and adolescents after receiving the license.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must be able to come onsite Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with occasional evening or weekend hours if there is a last-minute lack of coverage.
