This position is Full time and offers a Mon- Fri, Day shift. MONDAY 6-230, TUESDAY 7-330, WEDNESDAY 7-330, THURSDAY 7-330, FRIDAY 6-230

Rockford Center is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.

Position Summary: Rockford Center is searching for an experienced Part-time In-patient Dietary Aide to prepare, serve meals and to keep the dining area clean.

Key Accountibilities/Duties:

  • Place food on serving line timely, providing appropriate utensils and serve meals as outlined on the menu for patients, employees, medical staff and visitors.
  • Assemble individual patient trays and galleys for delivery to patient units.
  • Properly clean work area, dishes, floors, food-prep areas and equipment daily.
  • Assist the cook in food preparation.
  • Follow hospital safety regulations when operating department equipment.
  • Follow safety regulations regarding water temperature and sanitization procedures.
  • Consistently engages and interacts with our patients by using the treatment principles of Trauma Responsive Care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility kitchen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and organization skills
  • Highly effective listening skills
