Lumber Yard Position does require some Saturday work.

SUMMARY: Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within Yards by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Present a friendly and accommodating atmosphere, helping our customers determine their needs and facilitate their request efficiently and accurately.

· Present a professional appearance and abide by the guidelines outlined in the employee handbook.

· All yard personnel must be well versed in and follow all safety procedures.

· Must have an understanding of the products we carry, their location, and how they are sold (i.e. each, piece, lineal foot).

· Assist customers with their orders from stock and place them in customers' vehicles.

· Drives forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to yard or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

· Make up loads for delivery as instructed by supervisor.

· Assists fellow employees, cleans yard, including snow shoveling/sanding, covers guard shack, report low stock, helps drivers, and unloads vendor trucks.

· Other duties include putting inventory in racks and “A” frames, keeping them well organized.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. · The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.

· The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
