Job description
The Department of Health and Human Physiology is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator.
The Curriculum Coordinator will coordinate departmental course management process. Provide administrative assistance and expertise and ensure compliance with University and CLAS course related processes, timelines, and policies. Manage University electronic systems related to course and curriculum (MAUI, ICON, Gen Catalog). In addition, this position serves as liaison to students, faculty, staff and the public in a high-volume academic departmental office, responding to inquiries from students, staff, faculty and others. This position will initially be on-campus but hybrid schedule may be worked out at a later time dependent upon department needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee course offerings planner process in the MAUI system; including setting up courses for each semester; assigning instructors, entering or updating registration status, enrollment information, building, media and room preferences, restrictions, textbook information & course descriptions. Maintain master course list.
- Coordinate the process of updating the general catalog.
- Liaison to the curriculum committees. Assist the Undergraduate Directors and Academic Success Administrator with adhering to academic calendar and the implementation of changes recommended by curriculum committees.
- Complete MAUI process of assigning TAs and send confirmations to instructors and lab coordinators.
- Organize teaching schedules for undergraduate and graduate courses offered by the department.
- Collect and audit all course syllabi for compliance with CLAS and department. standards. Inform DEO and Department Administrator of non-compliant or missing syllabi.
- Provide faculty support for quizzes, exams, mid-terms and finals. Coordinate make-up and student disability services (SDS) exams, mid-terms and finals.
- Attend monthly Student Academic Services user group meetings.
- Assist with front desk administration; answer and direct incoming phone calls and e-mail; provide general support to visitors by supplying information and answering questions and requests. Provide back-up as needed to the front office administrative team.

Education Required:
- Bachelors’ Degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications:
- Typically, 0 – 6 months of administrative work experience.
- Experience with a variety of desktop tools, including MS Office Suite and Outlook calendaring. Willingness and ability to learn new software platforms as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, as demonstrated at the working proficiency level.
- Demonstrates working ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation. Demonstrates strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with MAUI.
- Basic knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Basic experience with website maintenance.
- Working experience with electronic processing systems, such as Workflow.
- Ability to utilize tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data.
