For this Collections Specialist job, we're looking for candidates who are natural leaders driven by a strong sense of accomplishment, and focused, detail-oriented thinkers with backgrounds in accounting, finance or business administration. - Ensure bankruptcy filings are processed in the correct manner when received
- Identify delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, written correspondence, phone contact, and making arrangements for payment
- Record all customer payments to the correct reports
- Act as liaison in maintaining quality service to the customer and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiries
- Oversee and update customer files to ensure data accuracy
- Lead all billing and reporting activities according to deadlines
- Process Payments
- Comply with all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act
- Control inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence
- Prior experience working with accounting software
- Strong communication and social skills
- AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred
- Ability to analyze customer accounts and make decisions based on those analyses
- 2-3 years of prior high volume collections experience
- Solid understanding of commercial collections
