Busy pediatric office looking for a full time CMA or CNA for our Shallotte, NC office. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated and reliable individual that wants to work with pediatric patients and their families. The individual should expect to process up to 30 patients per day. The preferred candidate should have at least 1 year of medical office experience, experience in EMR systems, and experience in administering injections (will be taught in office if experience is lacking). As a CMA or CNA you would be responsible for the initial triage of patients. This includes taking vital signs, obtaining heights and weights, hearing and vision screens and obtaining urine specimens, hemoglobin, blood sugars, swabs for other oral lab tests and lead levels by capillary puncture as needed. Other responsibilities include the correct recording of this data in the patient charts and medical system EHR. The CMA or CNA assists in the preparation of the patient for examination by the provider, assists during the medical examination as needed, assists in the cleaning and sterilization or instruments used in the clinic, and assists in the disinfection of the patient exam rooms, work-up areas and equipment. The CMA or CNA maintains communication with the providers and adheres to and enforces the policies and procedures relating to the safety of patients and employees, and performs other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate must be friendly, supportive of others, and a team player. The ideal candidate should tactful, patient and understanding when dealing with patients and their families; they should have effective communication skills, a positive attitude and be able to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and integrity.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
