AstraZeneca is looking to hire an Associate Director, Digital Data Management to join the Data Management & Operations team within Strategic Field Operations (SFO). They will be accountable for developing and delivering overall Digital Data Strategy & Governance and Business Operations which drive SFO’s implementation of Omnichannel priorities.
They will bring a foundation of customer data management & business insight related to in-person and non-personal digital promotional data. A thorough understanding of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) activities and digital media execution and key data sets will foster the continued development of strategic Omnichannel engagement that enhances the value of AstraZeneca's Omnichannel success through data insights.
The candidate will leverage experience in data management synthesizing a variety of customer demographics, exposure, and engagement activities to drive business imperatives. They will lead the identification, evaluation, interpretation, integration, aggregation, and visualization of different data sources across AZ platform(s). They will be responsible for leading a matrixed team comprised of Global Commercial Operations (GCO) functional leads and/or cross-functional IT and business leads. The candidate will manage business and IT collaborators, provide timely updates and status, and help drive the operations strategy and governance.
In summary, the candidate will be the AstraZeneca in-house go-to lead for customer in-person and non-personal promotion data specific to AstraZeneca’s Omnichannel efforts, which is necessary to optimize the data management capabilities that drive our business, provide insights, and improve the patient experience.
This role will focus on leading efforts to establish insights ready data but also has an opportunity to align to Omnichannel execution within the Biopharmaceutical Business Unit (BBU) Therapeutic Areas (Cardio/Renal/Metabolic, Respiratory & Immunology, and Vaccines).
What you’ll do
Overall accountability for Omnichannel data management functions
Establish and socialize Data Management vision and partner with internal collaborators to drive a data portfolio strategy
Collaborate with data scientists, brand marketing teams, commercial functions, field force teams, BI & Analytics, IT and agencies to define and fulfill current data needs and future opportunities
Provide leadership for data management initiatives, data governance boards and change communications.
Lead our e-mail lease vendor and contracted deliverables
Partner with Global Omnichannel and data management teams to simplify efforts and reinforce standard processes
Process owner for Data quality, issue remediation, vendor onboarding and vendor performance management.
Partner with marketing Operations and IT to support AstraZeneca Taxonomy and data cataloging
Strong skill in Master Data Management (MDM)/Customer Data Management processes, techniques, and standard methodologies
Strong business and marketing skill and excellent communication and interpersonal skills; consultative background preferred
Ability to meet deadlines plus identify and mitigate risks
Ability to work in fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities

Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of variety of commercial Pharmaceutical data, In-Person activity data, and digital data sources. sources
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; preferably in a relevant field
4+ years pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience
Ability to influence laterally and vertically
Experience working in a Data Management, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and/or Analytics environment
Experience across product life cycle (emerging, launch, in-line, mature)
Ability to build and lead an operations-oriented team
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and marketing data sources - specifically digital/Omni-channel data
Experience with digital data vendor contracting
Knowledge of and/or experience in pharmaceuticals sales operations; understands how data is applied in a pharmaceutical commercial operations context
Ability to translate business needs into data requirement
Understands the basic principles of data management, data processing, data governance and data stewardship
Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate the data management subject matter to a non-technical/unfamiliar internal customer
