Assistant Preschool Teacher
Job description
Assistant Teachers will assist our Lead Teachers with a developmentally appropriate curriculum, assist in routine care, and facilitate positive interactions for children. Assistant Teachers should be flexible, ready to help, and have great communication skills. Experience is preferred.
Position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Child Development Associate Certification (preferred)
- NCECC certification (preferred)
- CPR, AED and First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Ability to relate positively with young children, parents, and staff.
- Demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
- Effective and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrate an ability to work successfully with community-based agencies.
- Must be a professing Christian.
- Demonstrate Christian values that support the goals and objectives of Friendly Ave Christian Preschool and Friendly Ave Baptist Church.
- Able to lift 30 lbs.
- Able to walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children’s health and safety.
- Spend time outdoors daily in all seasons of weather.
