Job Summary
As an Area HRD, you will be responsible for overseeing all HR responsibilities and functions within your region/market (3 or more locations). You will be tasked to perform all HR Duties but with elevated HR oversight, such as, correspondence between in unit locations and Regional VPs (Ops and HR) and Regional HRD in order to maintain, recommend and collaborate with leaders to effectively achieve organizational objectives. Your major areas of responsibility will be assisting with additional guidance, oversight and consultation to in unit locations, as needed. The Area HRD will provide support and guidance for larger, global issues, overseeing major event planning (i.e. Opening Day structure) and strategy, spearheading inclusive and equitable company culture, training, compensation reviews, succession planning, leadership development, employee relations, etc. in conjunction with each locations respective local HR team.
Operations
- Oversees updates to location management and team member training programs and supports location management in accomplishing standards
- Practices and promotes consistent and equitable application and enforcement of all policies and procedures
- Fosters strong relationships with operations by partnering and strategizing on business needs, and ensuring that there is accessibility and responsiveness by the in unit HR Team
- Acts as a resource and SME for managers on employee relations, system use, onboarding needs, partner HR team on issues, and other HR functions
- Maintains and supports Federal, State and Local location compliance requirements and holding in unit HR teams accountable to same
- Oversee and ensure that in unit locations are following all new hire documentation (including but not limited to I-9 compliance) to ensure accuracy and smooth onboarding for all in unit locations
- Assists with system/processes including but not limited to promotions, terminations, benefits escalation, leave of absence, ER issues (follow-ups, investigations processes to ensure ER issues are complete by in unit team, maintaining status for all HR functions as they arise and providing guidance and oversight which allows in unit HR team to perform day to day functions), etc.
- Supervises/Spearhead all on-site Human Resources functions and effectively interacts with the appropriate Home Office department(s), as needed (in unit HR Teams should be first line of defense as issues arise. Area HRD should be used as a resource as needed)
- Supports the development and administration of effective team member retention and recruiting programs, while monitoring effectiveness and trends in attrition
- Holds in unit HR Team accountable for the onboarding of new HR team members and location leaders
- Help support communication around the Levy culture to current and potential employees and reset expectations through change and consistency
- Collaborates with location leadership and RVP’s to interview, hire, train and develops team members according to business needs, as needed (ADO level and above)
- Ability to effectively communicate and mentor leadership and team members by demonstrating strong HR experience and knowledge
- Flexibility to work unconventional hours, with possible weekends/holidays
- Ability to travel as needed by business
