Position Summary:
Typically reports to Department Head such as Administrator/Director/ Sr. Director. Responsible for managing and coordinating a variety of department projects, activities, reports, schedules, collection and management of data for projects and work in progress. Develops office procedures to ensure efficient and timely operations.

Hours: Monday through Thursday (32 hours), 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Location: 100% On-Site - 3910 Keswick Road, Baltimore, MD 21211

Requirements

Able to obtain a comprehensive understanding of departmental and Hospital policies and procedures, budget verification and analysis, spreadsheets and database management.
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information and situations.
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of standard word processing, power point and spreadsheet software. Ability to learn new computer systems as necessary.
Strong project management and communication skills, analytical ability to interpret data and policies.
Strong oral and written communication skills necessary to interact diplomatically with diverse groups of people, exchange information and produce written correspondence.
Must have advanced level computer skills and the ability to operate general office equipment.
Initiates the purchase of supplies for the department. Monitors department/project budget and variances.
Prioritize and organizes own work.
Screens bid forms and resumes to identify qualified candidates, interview candidates, and makes recommendations to Department Head.
Participates in special projects and/or committees as assigned.
Must be able to use and understand hospital forms, requisitions, purchase orders, etc.
Must be able to use computer systems to accomplish tasks
Analytical ability is required to organize/assess information and provide recommendations based on data collected.
Gather and interpret data from different sources and resolve problems.
Qualifications

Two years college or additional 4 years experience, in addition to required minimum 3 years.
Minimum 3 years experience in health care administration, office experience, or customer service experience.
